The Mala Center for meditation and therapy was born in 2018 out of the need to meditate together, to offer a space for therapy and healing and to build a sense of community and holding around it. Since February 2020, it has been located in Holargos, Athens.
It is made up of a large basement that hosts seminars, groups and meditations, with changing rooms. The ground floor has a kitchen and large group space which also hosts groups. There is also a separate session room on the ground floor for individual sessions. Upstairs there is an attic space capable of hosting guests who would like to stay overnight.
Mala is equipped with mattresses, cushions, instructional materials and wifi throughout the facility.
Mala is managed by residential staff Bodhidevi Legaki and Leela Bernasconi.
