Course Description:
In this first module of the 2nd Year training, we teach the channeling session as a resource for working with people therapeutically and focus on putting into practice the theory and experience from year 1. Students are trained on the details of giving a channeling session, how to touch on the core issue the person is bringing into the session with them, the basics of touch and energy work to facilitate awareness and emotional expression, using the breath as a vehicle, transference/countertransference, tuning into one’s own intuition for healing directives for the client.
Course Goal:
The aim of the course is to give the student a foundation for working with people as an integrative therapist.
Learning Objectives:
After completing this course the students will be able to:
1. Conduct an individual channeling session
2. Explain the essence of therapy
3. Practice the eight types of touch we use in the Power of Light training
4. List the steps of healing and integration for the second chakra
5. Describe the elements of transference/countertransference in a session and how to use them to deepen the client’s process
6. Contrast primary and secondary feelings and specify how to discern between them
7. Demonstrate capacity to assist and to work together as part of a team as well as leading a team in the Power of Light basic training
